The Union Ministry of Commerce has approved the Hosur SEZ, which will come up on over 3,000 acres at a cost of Rs. 512 crore. It is likely to attract investments from the IT sector. Prohibitive land prices in Bangalore, the collectorate believes, will be the driver for companies in and around Bangalore to think of moving across the border. Already some developers from Karnataka have started acquiring land for both residential and commercial development.
